Blesbok have the habit of walking in single file. Description The blesbok stands 95cm at the shoulder and has heavily ringed horns and a white blaze on the forehead. Both sexes have horns. Predators A wide variety of predators prey on this species. Their main defense is in the safety of the numbers in their herd. They rest together for safety in numbers and spread out when grazing. Family Ties Blesbok form herds consisting of females and juveniles. The males are solitary. During mating season, serious rivalry and fighting occurs between the males. |
